Each note covers one common problem: what it looks like, which button to use on the demo, and what to check afterward. Before-and-after images are on the cleanup demo, using a sample or your own file. These guides do not use made-up sample photos.
Yellowing and dirty backgrounds
Oxidized paper or a color cast: start with one-click or remove background.
Shadows and gutter bands
A phone photo of a book with a dark band along the binding: use deshadow.
Black borders and edge stains
Scanner black edges and gray copy margins are two different tools.
Seals
A red seal can sit on top of text. Keep the original before you remove it.
Punch holes and staple marks
Round holes and staple dents need different tools.
Noise and speckles
Fine grain and ink spots: denoise or despeckle.
Watermarks
Light repeated text is worth a try. Security marks usually are not.
